Samurott Hunting

Phew! This one took a fairly long time to paint! Mostly because of me making pedantic alterations and random clean up here and there. Still not completely happy about it but at some point you need so call your work done. I think its when it reaches a point where its good enough o be posted online.

I wanted to get back to a Pokemon piece, after doing 3 Overwatch portraits. That is after all, what I'd say most people follow me for. I know most people want a 3d render but those take aaaages to do and my painting skills were getting a bit rusty anyways.

When perusing a pokemon to paint I was wondering which one I wanted to do. I then stumbled across Samurott, a pokemon whose design is criminally underated. ITS A SAMURAI OTTER/SEA-LION FOR HEAVENS SAKE, WHO USES SHELLS AS DUAL KATANAS. Surely this thing has a weeaboo fanbase? ....... I guess not. I find that the gen 5 starters in general do not have much love and are in general the most easily forgotten.
